A terrible mourning strikes Scottie Pippen. The Nba star, Michael Jordan’s teammate in the golden age of the Chicago Bulls, announced on social media the death of his son Antron at just 33 years old. “With a broken heart, I announce yesterday that I said goodbye to my eldest son Antron,” writes Pippen on Twitter.
“We both – he adds – we shared the love for basketball. Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if it had not been for this I think he would have arrived in the NBA. But he never let himself be discouraged: he always remained positive and worked hard. I am proud of the man he had become. Please pray for his mother Karen and all her family and friends. A kind heart and a beautiful soul are gone too soon. I love you, my son. Rest in peace until we won’t see each other again “.
Antron was born in 1987 from the relationship between Pippen and Karen McCollum, who became his wife the following year. The couple divorced in 1990. Antron Pippen had played basketball for Texas A&M International and South Georgia Technical college.
