SEOUL, South Korea – Former rhythmic gymnastics star Son Yeon-jae is opening up about the realities of motherhood. In a recent YouTube vlog, the athlete detailed the demanding nature of raising a child, admitting it’s a far cry from what she anticipated.

The video, posted on the “Son Yeon-jae” YouTube channel on the 21st, was titled “Diet, Diet, Exercise, Date,” offering a glimpse into her week. Son Yeon-jae admitted that even simple activities are complicated by her new role. “It’s not easy to take a video while raising a baby,” she confessed. “It’s a parenting everyday life that I can’t eat even after trying to eat.”

Son Yeon-jae also touched upon her fitness routine, noting a lack of motivation for aerobic exercises. However, she remains confident in her core movements, acknowledging a weakness in her arm muscles that makes certain poses difficult.

The former Olympian recently returned to the spotlight for a significant event after a period focused on her child. “I was busy raising my child recently, so I went to a big event for a long time,” she shared. “It was a good experience. I tried to go to the best condition.”

In other news, Son Yeon-jae, who married her husband in 2022, purchased a detached house in Itaewon-dong for 7.2 billion won in November of last year. The property was bought under a joint name with her husband.
