Song against bullying: Maurizio De Simone awarded

by time news

An 18-year-old resident of the urban area of Corigliano was awarded this evening, in the historic center of Rossano, with a scholarship for composing a song against bullying.

His name is Maurizio De Simone, he is a humble, polite and principled boy and he attends class 4B of the “Nicholas Green – Falcone Borsellino” Institute.
The significant recognition took place during the award ceremony for the “Io non bullo… nè mi sballo” scholarship, a valuable cultural initiative promoted by the “Mani in alto” social promotion association and shared with the Trekking Club – Corigliano-Rossano Group.
“A clear and concise explanation of what bullying is, clear references to the strong and contrasting emotions that can be felt, simple and accessible writing. It presents with simplicity the current reality, which is scary, which closes kids in a bubble and does not allow them to live peacefully”. This is the exhaustive motivation for the choice to award, among others, the very young Maurizio De Simone, an exceptional boy and belonging to a wonderful family, as part of an event aimed at raising awareness among new generations and civil society on the phenomenon of bullying, as well as on the enhancement of the artistic, cultural and religious assets of the city and the promotion of typical Rossano products.
Applause to the organizers and heartfelt congratulations to all the winners, first and foremost to Maurizio De Simone, the pride of the community.
