While group ‘Winner’ member Song Min-ho is embroiled in controversy over ‘neglect of duty’ as a social worker who replaced military service, testimonies related to this are coming out one after another.
In the SBS TV current affairs program ‘Curious Story Y’ broadcast on the 27th, Mr. A, who watched Song Min-ho, who started working as a social worker in the parking management department at the Mapo-gu Facilities Management Corporation in Seoul, claimed that he was negligent in his duties.
Mr. A said, “I was excluded from phone work because my name was revealed. “I skipped meeting the complainants again because I recognized their faces,” he claimed. He also added, “It was my first time going to the post office for work.”
They even raised ‘suspicions of preferential treatment’ by saying that they were moved to an inconspicuous place rather than a place where social workers wait.
He said, “(Song Min-ho) did well at first. Afterwards, it came out two or three times a week. “At worst, I only saw him two or three times a month.”
Song Min-ho later moved to a resident convenience facility. There were also claims that poor service was worse there.
Person B said, “I have only seen him two or three times in 10 months. “Annual leave or sick leave is not unlimited,” he complained. He continued, “They said it came out well when I was at the headquarters. “But I guess they blocked it because there aren’t enough employees here.”
Manager C, who was in charge of Song Min-ho’s attendance at his previous workplace, told the production team of ‘Curious Story Y’, “If I say something wrong, there are some things that can be applied against Min-ho. “I will have the opportunity to talk later when I have the chance,” he said.
Song Min-ho has been serving as a social worker since March of last year after being classified as a supplemental worker due to social avoidance, panic disorder, and bipolar disorder. He was discharged from military service on the 23rd, but is embroiled in controversy over poor service.
The police searched and seized a convenience facility for residents this afternoon and secured related data. The police reportedly also secured a closed-circuit TV installed at the facility. On the 26th, the Military Manpower Administration requested the police to investigate Song Min-ho on charges of violating the Military Service Act (e.g., evading military service).
Song Min-ho’s side said, “It is difficult to confirm detailed information regarding the artist’s military service. However, we would like to inform you that the reason for the sick leave is an extension of the treatment received before military service, and that all other leave was used in accordance with regulations.”
