New Delhi: Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi congratulated Rishi Sunak who took office as the new Prime Minister of Britain. Sonia said that Rishi Sunak’s rise to the post of Prime Minister is a matter of pride for Indians.

Sonia Gandhi pointed out that Indo-British relations have always been very special and she is sure that they will deepen during Rishi Sunak’s tenure.

Rishi Sunak is the first Asian and Indian-origin British Prime Minister.
