North Sonsonate. The body of Troy Steve Nerio Mejiawhich was wrapped in the national flag of El Salvador. He was paralyzed after being hit by a bus, when the young artist was performing on the highway that goes from Izalco to Sonsonate.
Apparently, the victim bought the flag to commemorate another anniversary of El Salvador’s independence from the Spanish crown, in his characteristic manner of acting.
Night was falling when the accident happened. Volunteers from the Sonsonate Rescue Orders came to help him, but the injuries were so serious that there was no second chance. Troy died.
