Just like Microsoft and Logitech have created barrier-free controllers for players with physical disabilities in the past, Sony also announced during CES 2023 that it will launch a barrier-free controller design called Project Leonardo.
Compared with Microsoft’s design, which is composed of blocks, Sony’s Project Leonardo is built with a circular appearance. It can also be combined in a modular form according to usage needs, and the operating mode can be changed through software definition.
The Project Leonardo can be used independently in a single group, or in two groups, or with an additional DualSense controller to form more operational possibilities, so as to meet the needs of people with different disabilities.
At present, Project Leonardo is still a product in the development stage, and will continue to be adjusted through community feedback, so there is also the possibility of substantial changes in appearance.
In addition to announcing the launch of the Project Leonardo barrier-free controller design, Sony also announced that the cumulative shipments of PlayStation 5 in the global region have officially exceeded 30 million units, and will continue to cooperate with the supply chain so that more players who want to obtain PlayStation 5 can Successfully purchased.
