Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will not be attending E3 2023

The gaming exhibition E3 2023, after four years, will this time be a physical exhibition with booths, presentations and probably also launches. But it is not clear how much effect the exhibition will have as the three largest companies in the console market, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, at least in terms of the Xbox consoles, will probably not attend the exhibition.

In the case of Sony, this may not be really surprising, after it completely dropped its PlayStation consoles already in 2019, but according to IGN Nintendo will join it without explaining yet why. In addition, it is not clear whether the companies will nevertheless decide to hold press conferences or virtual broadcasts, at least, of announcement evenings for new games.

The conference is scheduled to be held in June at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and as mentioned, Microsoft will not be there with its Xbox either. However, the company should match the presentation of the purpose of its new products with the conference itself.

“Because we’ve dedicated much of 2022 to perfecting and solidifying E3 2023, reflecting the feedback we’ve asked for, we haven’t sent a single contract to any exhibitor until earlier this month. We’ve received a tremendous amount of interest and verbal commitments from many of the industry’s biggest companies, and when we’re ready to announce exhibitors we’re confident that it will be The vehicle that will make the trip to Los Angeles worth it, for the industry and the consumers alike,” said ReedPop, the company organizing the event for the ESA, the super organization of game manufacturers.
