Sony has announced the Xperia 5 V, its flagship mobile, with a good design and the usual 21:9 screen characteristic of the company’s phones. It measures 154mm × 68mm × 8.6mm and weighs 183g, and is IP68 certified dust and water resistant. The screen is 15.5 cm (6.1 in) OLED with a resolution of 2520 × 1080 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is flanked by stereo speakers.
The processor is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and at least 128 GB of storage with a micro-SD card reader. It has 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Its battery is 5000 mAh with a fast charge of 30 W through its USB type C. There is a fingerprint reader on the screen. It has a dual nano-SIM slot or a nano-SIM plus eSIM depending on the version.
The rear camera is 48 Mpx and ƒ/1.9 with optical image stabilizer. Record video up to 4K and 120 f/s. The secondary is 12 Mpx and ƒ/2.2 ultra wide angle. The front camera is 12 Mpx and ƒ/2.0, which records video at 4K and 30 f/s.
