Sony Unveils Exciting New Titles and Updates at State of Play, Highlighting ‘Ghost of Yotei’ as the Main Attraction

Ghost of Yotei, the successor of Ghost of Tsushima, was the biggest highlight of the State of Play.

Last night, Sony presented more than 20 games in the latest State of Play that will soon be released for the Playstation 5. Palworld is available for PS5 starting now. And that’s where we begin.

Palworld has been available for the Xbox Series, PC, and others for some time – and now “Pokemon on steroids” is also available for the Playstation 5. Of course, there is an accompanying trailer as well.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

The remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn is expected to be released by the end of October. This will align the original Horizon graphically with Forbidden West. Those who already own the original will be able to purchase the remaster for 9.99 Euros.

Legacy of Kain – Soul Reaver 1 & 2

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was released in 1999 for PC, Dreamcast, and the first Playstation, with the second part following in 2001. Now both titles are set to arrive as remasters on the Playstation 5. They will be released on December 10th of this year.

Ghost of Yotei

Probably the highlight of the State of Play: Ghost of Yotei is coming in 2025 and is the successor to the immensely successful Ghost of Tsushima. The game is set about 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, will feature a new main character, and primarily take place around Mount Yotei. There was of course also a first trailer.

Enhanced Games for Playstation 5 Pro

  • Alan Wake 2 will receive a DLC titled The Lakehouse in October.
  • The MMO ArcheAge Chronicles is set to release in 2025.
  • Astro Bot will receive a DLC this fall that includes five new speedruns.

Controllers and Plates with New Designs

In addition to a PS5 controller in Fortnite design, Sony is also offering DualSense controllers in three new shimmering colors as part of the Chroma Collection: Chroma Pearl, Chroma Indigo, and Chroma Teal. Corresponding plates for the Playstation 5 will also be available.

In parallel, Sony has announced new gaming monitors. The Inzone M10S offers an OLED display with 27 inches and 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Up to 480Hz can be achieved via DisplayPort 2.1. The price: $1,099, or here: €1,349. Launch is planned for October 7.

Then comes the similarly designed Inzone M9 II, which is aimed at current consoles rather than PCs. The monitor offers 4K resolution with an IPS display on 27 inches with up to 160 Hz. The price: $799, or €999. The peak brightness drops from the M10S’s 1,300 to 750 Nits. In return, it comes with a DisplayHDR 600 seal instead of 400. The monitor will be available from November 1.
