Fans can look forward to new trailers for previously announced titles and even announcements of new games no one has seen. Sony usually announces the new state of play a day or two before the official livestream. Luckily, whether you’re in front of your computer or using your phone on the go, there are several ways to watch.

State of Plays can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 40 minutes, a typical length that Sony usually reveals when announcing new ones. If you want to keep up, it’s thankfully easy. State of Plays will generally be streamed on any regular social media video platform.

State of Play can include anything from exciting indie games to highly anticipated game updates. Often, Sony will be very candid about what they’re going to include in a given game state – that is, they’ll get a rough idea of the type of games and content we’ll see in a game state so fans can moderate them expectations. How often does the play state stream appear?
Predicting the time of the next playback state is not always easy. Similar to Nintendo Directs, upcoming livestreams are usually announced a day or two before the livestream, not earlier.
They often show up unexpectedly, keeping fans waiting with bated breath for an entire day to see what new announcements and reveal might come out of the livestream. As for when the next one will take place, your best bet is to wait until Sony officially announces it.
