Pastor André Valadão used social media to criticize the news that dogs, specifically pets in general, can now have their names registered in the country’s registry offices, including their owners’ surnames. According to the religious leader, the initiative would be a harbinger of future marriages “between humans and animals.”
The possibility of registering pets’ names in registry offices has actually existed in Brazil for several years, and it is not exactly new. The document issued is known as the General Animal Registry (RGA), being equivalent to the human Identity Registry (RG).
Pet owners (in politically correct language: “guardians”) look for companies that accept this type of service, receiving the official document upon registration, which may include their own surname.
The same occurs in the case of registering births, deaths and even “marriages”. For André Valadão, this type of treatment towards pets should be a cause for concern.
“Soon there will be marriages between humans and animals…. Wait, and if the ‘Church’ doesn’t do the wedding she will be accused of some phobia. Or rather, another phobia”, reacted o pastor.
Already exists
Unfortunately, the prediction of the global leader of the Lagoinha Baptist Church is already a reality in other countries. A case that became known worldwide, for example, is that of former model Elizabeth Hoad, who “married” live, on a TV show, with her own Labrador dog, in 2019, in the United Kingdom.
Hoad’s case was reported by Extra and various secular media, at the time, being just one of several examples of moral inversion recognized as a relationship between humans and animals.
For pastor Renato Vargens, who commented on the same news from Valadão, these are signs that “Western society is definitely returning to paganism”, where human beings are worshiping creatures more, instead of the Creator.
“Without a shadow of a doubt, the deconstruction of Judeo-Christian values, combined with the relativism of a liquid era, has not only led to the reversal of roles in the family, but also considered animals in the family”, commented Vargens.
“The other day I heard a lady saying that she prefers her dog to her children. Now, without a shadow of a doubt, this is the result of a sick mind, which absorbs wrong and absolutely unbiblical concepts,” she added. See too:
