The current status of Lee Geon-ju, aka ‘Soondol’, who was greatly loved in the popular 1990s drama ‘Three Families Under One Roof’, has been revealed.
According to Maeil Kyungjae Star Today on the 6th, Lee Gun-ju received a ritual at a shaman shrine in Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 2nd and started a new life as a shaman. He is especially drawing attention for becoming the ‘new sibling’ with shaman Ham Soo-hyun, a former bank employee who recently appeared in the SBS drama ‘Possessed Romance’ and gained attention.
In an interview with the media outlet, Lee Geon-ju confessed that he had been out of work and suffering from depression since last year. He also said that his great-grandmother and grandfather were both shamans, and that despite the dissuasion of his aunt, who had raised him with love since he was six years old after his parents’ divorce, he eventually accepted his fate and decided to receive a divine revelation.
Lee Geon-ju plans to start a new life by opening a new shrine in Samseong-dong.
