The Italian goalkeeper of PSG appeared in the mixed zone after the elimination in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France against OM on Wednesday evening, at the Vélodrome.
Gigio Donnarumma (PSG goalkeeper, after the 2-1 defeat in Marseille ) : «We knew their strengths, we were prepared but they were very aggressive and they put us in a bit of trouble in the first half. The details make the difference. We are sorry, angry and disappointed. We are sorry because we cared about this competition, we still have our fans, who we care about so much. But we have to raise our heads and think about Saturday against Monaco. (…) The Marseillais put a lot of intensity, they defended in one against one, it was difficult very difficult even if we prepared well during the week and we knew that they would play like that. We struggled to keep the ball and that’s one of the main things you have to do well when there’s a team with that attitude. In the second half, we managed to do it better but it wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, that’s how it is and let’s think about Saturday.
Worrying before Bayern? Each game has its own story. Now we have to prepare Monaco well before we think about Bayern and the Champions League. But obviously it’s important for us and we’ll do everything to make it through. Three defeats since the start of the year? We have to work, improve, we certainly will.
