EWillsmith apologized on Instagram. Willsmith came out with an apology video months after the incident in which he punched host Chris Rock on the stage of the Oscar ceremony.
“I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and if you’re willing to talk, I’m here to let you know.” Smith said in the video. Smith posted the video, which is about six minutes long. Smith stated that he had reached out to Chris Rock, but he was not ready to talk.
Earlier, Will Smith had come forward asking for forgiveness. He apologized to the Oscar Academy and his colleagues for slapping the host. Later, Smith apologized to Chris Rock. Smith said what was done was wrong and went too far.
Smith responded that the joke about his wife’s illness was too much to bear. At the award ceremony, Chris Rock’s comment about Smith’s wife, Jayda Smith, was disliked. After this, the incident became a big controversy.
