Cape Town,

The Women’s T20 World Cup cricket matches are being held in South Africa. In this match held at 7 pm local time, South Africa and Bangladesh teams clashed.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. Accordingly, the team that batted first scored 113 runs for the loss of 6 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Captain Nigar Sultana scored the highest 30 runs in the team.

The South African team then played towards the goal. Both Lavra and Tasmin, who entered the field as openers in the team, played well and chased the target.

Bangladeshi bowlers tried various tactics to separate the pair to no avail. In the end, the South African team reached the target in 17.5 overs and won by 10 wickets.

The win earned the team 4 points but qualified for the semi-finals based on run rate.
