Durban: Joburg Super Kings beat Durban Super Giants by 16 runs in the South African Twenty20 League. The Durban team could only manage 174 runs for five wickets in 20 overs to reach the target of 191 runs set by the Joburg team. Donavan Ferreira was the man of the match with a brilliant batting and a wicket. Score: Joburg Super Kings- 190/6 (20), Durban Giants- 174/5 (20)

Batting first, Joburg Super Kings scored 190 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Donavan Ferreira who scored 82 runs off 40 balls, Romaria Shepherd who scored 40 runs off 20 balls and captain Faf Duplessis who scored 39 runs off 33 balls secured the best score for Joburg. Pranelan Subrayan, Keshav Maharaj, Dwayne Pretorius, Akhila Dhananjaya and Jason Holder took two wickets each. Keemo Paul and Kyle Meyers failed to pick up any wickets.

In reply, Durban Supergiants could only manage 174 runs in 20 overs despite the loss of five wickets. Captain and wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock’s fight was wasted as he scored 78 runs off 52 balls with five fours and a six. Apart from Kyle Meyers’ 39 off 29 balls, nothing much happened from the batsmen. Heinrich Klaasen was the third highest scorer with 20 runs. Alzari Joseph took two wickets.
