South Africa win second Test against New Zealand

Christchurch: South Africa won the second Test against New Zealand by a huge margin. South Africa beat New Zealand by 198 runs. With the win, South Africa drew the two-match series. New Zealand won the first match by an innings and 276 runs. Kagiso Rabada is the star of the game.

New Zealand needed 426 runs to win the final day. However, the Kiwis were out for 227. Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj took three wickets apiece. Devon Conway was the Kiwis’ top scorer with 92 runs.

In the second innings, Kyle Verne (136)’s maiden century gave South Africa the lead. Dabada (47) and Van der Dawson (45) also put in better performances. Earlier, New Zealand were bowled out for 293, following South Africa’s first innings score of 364. Score: South Africa 364, 354/9 (declared) & New Zealand 293, 227.
