Banjul – The Kingdom of Morocco is a “flagship country” and a “leader” in the promotion of South-South cooperation in the African continent, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, underlined the Minister of Foreign Affairs, of Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Mamadou Tangara.
In a statement to MAP on the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the accession of HM King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors, Mr. Tangara highlighted the Sovereign’s unwavering commitment to promoting relations cooperation between the countries of the continent.
Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King, Morocco attaches great importance to strengthening the capacities of African countries and to the promotion of human capital which constitutes an essential element to ensure the development of Africa, he said. noted.
The head of Gambian diplomacy, in this sense, affirmed that the Atlantic Initiative of His Majesty the King precisely embodies this ambition to create “an African space of development, solidarity and stability”.
“The Gambia welcomes this Royal Initiative which aims to create a space for development, solidarity and stability. Africa greatly needs such a space,” he said.
And Mr. Tangara concludes that it is with this in mind that the Gambia “supports with great enthusiasm” this Royal Initiative which aims to resolve the problems linked to development in Africa.
