• Malabar Polytechnic College team won the Malabar South Zone Football Tournament held at University of Calicut.
fortification: Tirur SSM won the Malabar South Zone football match held at Calicut University. Malabar Polytechnic College became the winners defeating Polytechnic.
The final was tied 1-1 in regulation time and the winners were decided in a penalty shootout. Calicut University Physical Education Director Dr. Zakir Hussain presented the trophies. Malabar Polytechnic trained under the leadership of Mathil Shimnas, a sports teacher. In the semi-final match held in the university itself, Kuttipuram KMCT. Malabar Poly reached the final by defeating the college.
