SAO PAULO (Reuters) – The 2022/23 soy harvest reached 52.9% of the total area in Brazil, with works delayed compared to previous years driven by Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, consultancy Pátria AgroNegócios said on Friday. , citing fears with the planting of the “safrinha” corn.
“Greater delays are still concentrated in Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, which raises concerns about the second crop window”, said the consultancy in a note.
Mato Grosso and Rondônia are already on their way to the final stretch, he added.
A year earlier, 64.3% of the areas were harvested, while the historical average for the period is 56.9%.
