SÃO PAULO (Reuters) – The government of São Paulo postponed from November this year to February 2024 the concession auction for the construction of the Eixo Norte do Trem Intercidades, a passenger railway project that intends to connect the capital of São Paulo to Campinas, according to publication in State Official Gazette this Friday.
The auction, which was scheduled for November 28th, was postponed to February 29th of next year, according to a new concession notice published by the São Paulo government.
In the Official Gazette, the government only said that the republication of the notice considers “improvements made to the call instrument”.
