Sunil Saket, Agra: The atmosphere of Lok Sabha elections is heated in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The trend of opposition among Kshatriyas towards BJP candidates is not stopping. On this, Kshatriya Mahasabha President Manoj Sikarwar says that BJP candidate SP Singh Baghel does caste politics. He has exploited the Kshatriya community in many cases. Giving examples of two cases of Khandauli and Muddi area, he says that by filing wrong cases, people of Thakur caste were sent to jail. The police station incharge and outpost incharge of Thakur community were suspended. On the other hand, a Kshatriya’s land was taken over by his own kinsman.
What shock will Baghel face?
BJP candidate SP Singh Baghel won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by 2 lakh 10 thousand votes, but this time the victory margin may be less. Or victory can also turn into defeat. The reason for this is the huge opposition from the Kshatriya community. There is so much anger among the people that slogans against SP Singh Baghel have been written on the walls in Baisi. Wherever votes are being sought in his name, those articles have been blackened. The stone plaques in his name have also been uprooted. Apart from this, Punjabi society has boycotted BJP in the case of fatal attack on father and daughter and harassment of the family by the grandson of the former minister.

Many times he turned away the people of Thakur community after asking about their caste. He has not provided any help to the farmers even in the matter of pending compensation for their land acquisition. Harendra Sikarwar of Etmadpur Garhi Rami says that a few months ago, SP Singh Baghel had implicated a Thakur caste family on the charges of suicide of a girl. The woman in the family was also named on molestation charges. This was done only because the girl’s family belonged to their caste.
Devendra Chauhan of Chawli says that the opposition to SP Singh Baghel is not only among the Kshatriyas. There is opposition to him among the people of other societies. On the instructions of SP Singh Baghel, the police had registered a case against 22 people.
How much will be the loss?
Dalits and Vaishyas play a decisive role in the reserved seat of Agra. Apart from this, Kshatriyas have more than 2 lakh votes. Kshatriya community is a voter of BJP. If BJP’s vote bank decreases then BSP may benefit from it. BSP has been at second place every time. In the year 2009 Lok Sabha elections, BSP candidate lost the election by just 9 thousand votes. The margin of victory has been decreasing in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. BSP and alliance candidates are looking for an opportunity to take advantage of the Kshatriya community’s opposition to BJP. From Ghaziabad, BSP has tried to attract Kshatriya to its fold by giving him ticket. BSP candidate Pooja Amrohi is continuously making inroads in the angry Kshatriya community.
The townspeople are also angry
Social worker Subodh Manav says that BJP has deceived the public in the name of development.
