SpaceX puts 51 Starlink satellites into orbit

On the basis of the US Air Force Vandenberg site, the Falcon 9 launch vehicle was launched with the next Starlink microsatellites constellation. The 51st satellite of the V1.5 modification was launched by SpaceX. The broadcast is conducted on the company’s website.

The start took place at 06:55 Moscow time on September 14. According to the head of the company Elon Musk, the devices are equipped with laser transmitters, which are necessary for communication with other satellites and help provide Internet access, for example, in the middle of the ocean.

After launch, Falcon 9 returned to Earth and got down on the floating platform Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific Ocean.

Previously, SpaceX launched the Falcon 9 launch vehicle with the Cargo Dragon cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS). Dragon delivered materials for scientific experiments and new equipment to the ISS.
