Between the application of vaccines from the Pfizer-Biontech laboratory and Moderna, Spain is approaching one million people inoculated against the disease, with the figure of 966,097 to date, according to official data offered by the Ministry of Health.
The highest percentage of those applied comes from Pfizer-Biontech, with a total of 957,314, while, from Moderna, the sum reaches 8,783, with a general percentage of 84.5% of injections applied out of the 1,143,300 received , indicated the institution.
According to the EFE agency, a total of 9,341 people have been injected with the two doses of the Pfizer vaccine necessary for immunity, a figure that quadruples the 2,315 counted this Monday and represents almost 1% (0.97%). of all those administered.
Among the territories with the highest proportion of doses supplied over those delivered, EFE highlights Melilla (107.6%), followed by Cantabria (104.2%), the Canary Islands (101.4%), and the Valencian Community (101.0). %), higher in all cases than 100% due to the use of surplus vials.
Next on the list is Galicia, which has already injected 99.98% of doses received, Asturias (93.6%), the Region of Murcia (92.8%) and the autonomous city of Ceuta (89.6% ).
Below 80% are Castilla La-Mancha (79.7%), Madrid (78.9%), Aragón (77.3%) and Andalusia (76.2%).
Andalusia is the territory where the most people have received both doses of Pfizer (1,773), followed by Asturias (1,285), and Galicia (1,191); On the contrary, in Cantabria the second dose has not yet been administered to anyone.
Vaccination with the Pfizer-BioNTech drug began approximately three weeks ago in Spain. On December 27, residents and workers of senior and social health centers began to receive the vaccine, and on the 17th of this month, they began to administer the second doses to those who were immunized with the first injection.
Every week, the different autonomous communities receive a shipment of new vaccines from said American pharmaceutical company, in order to reach the dose corresponding to the country: 4.5 million from Pfizer-BioNTech.
