jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Spanish U-23 national team began their journey at the 2024 Paris Olympics with a 2-1 win over the Uzbekistan U-23 national team.
In the match which took place at the Parc des Princes Stadium, Paris, Wednesday local time, Spain’s victory came thanks to goals scored by Marc Pubill and Sergio Gomez.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan managed to equalize through Eldor Shomurodov’s penalty, according to the 2024 Olympics records.
Thanks to this result, Spain is comfortably at the top of the Group C standings for the men’s football event at the 2024 Paris Olympics with three points.
Uzbekistan is in fourth place without points.
In the first half, Uzbekistan took the initiative to attack first through Umarali Rakhmonaliyev’s kick which was still saved by Spanish goalkeeper Arnau Tenas.
