The Catalan rider has been the best national representative in Andorra. All elite cyclists have qualified for the finals on Saturday.

Junior Oriol Cuadrat, finishing 15th in the junior Downhill final, has delivered the most outstanding performance for the Spanish National Team on the third day of competition at the MTB World Championships in Pal Arinsal (Andorra).

Cuadrat, who arrived at the final with good feelings from a qualifying round that concluded with the seventh-best time, was unable to improve his preliminary round record and with his 2:46.153, he finished commendably in the Top 15 of the junior World Championship in his first year in the category. The other Spaniard in the race, Ignacio García, stopped the clock at 2:50.465 to finish in 37th place. Meanwhile, Marta Perxachs, also in her first year in the category, completed the World Championships with a 17th place finish, recording a time of 3:36.357 in the final.

The Downhill competition concluded in the afternoon session with the qualifiers for the elite categories, both female and male. Among the women, Mireia Pi and Kira Zamora qualified for the final after finishing in 35th (3:35.407) and 38th (3:42.400) places.
