The 29-year-old started his youth career with Spanish club Valladolid. He also played for their B team before representing the senior team in the 2011–12 season. He also played for various clubs in Spain, including the Atletico Madrid B team. Then in 2019, he joined Georgian professional club FC Dynamo Tbilisi. Victor helped Dynamo Tbilisi win the title in Georgia and also represented the club in the Europa League.

The experienced and skilled centre-back, who can also play in the midfield, signed with ATK in the January transfer window for the 2019-20 ISL season. He was also a key player in the ATK team that won the title that season. After the 2020 season, Victor made a brief stint with Dynamo Tablisi and returned to the Hero Indian Super League in 2021 with Odisha FC. In recognition of his commitment and role on and off the field, he wore the captain’s armband at Odisha FC. Victor has also represented the Spanish Under-17 national team.
Speaking about Blasters’ second overseas signing, sporting director Karolis Skinkis said Victor is an experienced ISL player who has a team spirit and can play in different positions. He has shown great interest in joining our team, which is a very important factor. We wish Victor all the best for the upcoming season,” he said.

Victor Mongil said that I am very happy to announce that I am an official Kerala Blasters player. Victor Mongil is KBFC’s second foreign signing of the summer season, following striker Apostolos Giannu, who was announced last week. The addition of Mongil, along with Marko Leskovic, who has signed a two-year contract extension with the club, will add more skill, experience and dominance to the Blasters defence.
