“The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of HM the King is a precious opportunity to congratulate the Sovereign for his commitment to the development and progress of Morocco,” Mr. Grande-Marlaska told MAP, on the sidelines of the reception offered, Tuesday evening in Madrid, by the Moroccan ambassador to Spain, Ms. Karima Benyaich, on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day.
“This emblematic event celebrates not only the anniversary of the enthronement of HM the King, but also the progress of the Kingdom of Morocco under his enlightened leadership,” he added.
Presenting on this occasion his warm congratulations to HM the King and the Moroccan people, the Spanish minister affirmed that Morocco is an “important partner with which Spain maintains “fraternal and good neighborly” relations.
“In Spain, the Moroccan community, numbering more than one million people, is a successful example of integration, collaboration and cooperation, playing a key role in the development of our country and strengthening relations between our two nations,” Grande-Marlaska stressed.
The Spanish official welcomed the progress made in recent years in Spanish-Moroccan relations, noting that this “dynamic should serve as a driving force for the future of both countries.”
