Madrid: Football player Gerard Pique will retire from football with Barcelona’s next La Liga match. Pique’s decision to retire was announced through social media. Pique has announced that Barcelona’s match against Almeria at the Camp Nou on November 6 will be his last game.
Pique only played in three matches during the La Liga season. The 35-year-old Pique was part of the Spain national team from 2009 to 2018. He scored five goals in 102 matches. He played for Manchester United and Real Zaragoza from 2004 to 2008. He arrived in Barcelona in 2008. Pique played for Barcelona as a center back.
Barcelona is currently in second place in La Liga. Barcelona are advancing with 10 wins from 12 matches. Real Madrid is in first place with 32 points from 12 matches.
