The supermarket chain Spar released a list of products that are being recalled on Monday. During a quality control process, elevated levels of Ochratoxin A were found.
Spar recalls the following products
Ochratoxin A is a toxin produced by certain molds. Spar recalls the following products:
- “NUSSYY Organic Protein Bar – Protein Bear 35g” with a best before date (BBD) of 22.06.2025
- “NUSSYY Organic Bar – Lazy Freddy 35g” with a BBD of 22.06.2025
- “NUSSYY Organic Berry Muesli Ovenbaked + Protein 350g” with a BBD of 07.07.2025
- and the “SPAR Natur pur Organic Muesli Fruits Almond 375g” with a BBD of 06.04.2025
Elevated levels of Ochratoxin A were found in the products’ raisins, Spar informs. Customers are urged not to consume the specified items.
Only the listed products with the specified best before date are affected.
Customers who have purchased the listed products can return them at any Spar, Eurospar, Interspar, or Maximarkt store. A receipt is not required for the refund of the purchase price, according to Spar.
