Since the beginning of the anti-discrimination movement, many stars of the country have declared solidarity. However, Mehzabeen Chowdhury, the popular actress of the small screen, entered the list even though it was a little late.

On August 5, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister in the face of the students’ movement and left the country. Then the people of various classes and professions rejoiced in the joy of victory across the country. Mehzabeen Chowdhury also participated in this joyous procession.

The actress said, ‘This movement of the students was logical and correct. That’s why I was with you. In return for so many sacrifices, the victory of the students was achieved on August 5. I was also on the field in the celebration of that victory.’

However, Mehjabeen Chowdhury has expressed concern over the news of vandalism of government buildings, arson of party office of Awami League and communal attacks. On her verified Facebook page, the actress writes, ‘Call to common people, celebrate victory. But in many parts of the country some people are looting and burning, raise your voice against them.’

Mehjabeen Chowdhury expressed concern about security and said, ‘There is no law and order force on the road. I am worried about my own safety now. We did not want such a Bangladesh. Everyone must now return to building Bangladesh, the dream of students and youth, otherwise the dream will fail.’
