The third edition of the International Market of Magical Townscarried out in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, in San Antonio, Texas, It was a great success with a large participation of visitors from different US entities, said the Secretary of State. Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marques.
Accompanied by the Consul General of Mexico in San Antonio, Ruben Minutti Zanatta, The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) reported that this edition had the participation of 677 exhibitors, 191 buyers, 27 states, 139 Magical Towns and 26 Magical Neighborhoods.
Also with the presence of secretaries of Turismo state, consuls of Mexico in Texasamong other authorities and businessmen in the sector, also indicated that over the three days, it received more than 6,500 visitors, so the participation of all the actors in the value chain of the tourism sector has demonstrated the strength of the Mexico brand, as well as the multiple tourist attractions in the Magical Towns and Neighborhoods.
“This Tianguis has been a success due to the combined efforts of the three levels of government, private companies, travel agents and operators, chambers and associations, as well as the work and drive of our embassy in the United States and the 11 Mexican Consulates in Texas,” he said.
Torruco Marqués made a special recognition to the consul general of Mexico in San Antonio, Ruben Minutti and to his team, for their enthusiasm, dedication and hard work in making this event a success.
He also thanked the Mexican and North American chambers, associations and companies for their work and support, which made it possible to arrange 684 business meetings.
It was recognized CCRA, IDC ConsolidSan Antonio International Airport, Concanaco Servytur, Conexstur, La Metropolitana, AMAV, AMTAVE, AMAR, Viva Aerobus, Volaris and City Express Hotels.
Awards were given to the participants of the cultural program and the gastronomic pavilion, who brought a bit of the wealth of Mexico to San Antonio.
