Special Security Plan Implemented for Festive Season

As the festive season approaches, a special security plan will be implemented to ensure the safety and security of the public. Police Media Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police, Advocate Nihal Talduva, has announced that on Nattar Day, the police will be engaging in duties near all the churches to safeguard the people in attendance.

Furthermore, the Director General of Police has issued two special round letters in response to the upcoming festive season, highlighting the importance of heightened security measures. In addition to uniformed officers, police officers in civilian clothes have also been deployed to ensure security in areas with high foot traffic.

In addition to the increased police presence, special transport services will also be available to accommodate the influx of travelers during the festive season. Starting today, special bus and train services will be in operation to facilitate travel for those celebrating the holidays.

The Sri Lanka Transport Board has announced that 100 additional buses will be put into service for long-distance travel from tomorrow, ensuring that people traveling to their hometowns for Christmas and school holidays have access to reliable and safe transportation.

With these measures in place, authorities are working to ensure that the public can celebrate the festive season with peace of mind, knowing that their safety and security is being prioritized.
