The Széchenyi University of Győr presented young Germans and Hungarians with the latest trends in mobility and design.

The exclusive specialist program was organized by the German-Hungarian Youth Office for students.

“Germany and Hungary have maintained close ties throughout their history. Young people can still play a crucial role today by being interested and open to partnerships,” said Erzsébet Knáb, President of the Hungarian-German Youth Office and founding President of the Széchenyi University Foundation. The aim of the event is not only to familiarize the participating students with the latest trends in the current topics of mobility and design, but also to create connections and impulses that could support their careers and strengthen the synergies between the two nations.

During the two-day professional program, the young people got an insight into the research, education and talent management activities of the University of Győr. They visited the institution’s internationally renowned laboratories, Audi Hungaria’s automotive engineering faculty, the design campus and world-class student teams. At the Győr plant of Audi Hungaria, the university’s most important corporate partner, they were able to get a first-hand impression of the most modern automotive solutions.

István Széchenyi University has in recent years developed into a real university with nine faculties and about 14,000 students from seventy countries around the world. Almost forty courses taught in English are offered to international students. Győr will further increase its attractiveness in the triangle formed by the capitals Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava as a result of ongoing infrastructure projects such as the construction of science and innovation parks and a campus for health technologies. The university ranks 801-1000 in the QS world rankings.
