At least two people have been injured this Thursday after registering a raging fire in a skyscraper under construction located in the Kowloon neighborhood, one of the main commercial districts of Hong Kong. The causes of the fire are still unknown.

The fire started after early Friday morning (local time) on one of the scaffolds placed on the building, an old club for sailors that was demolished in 2018 and whose works are carried out by the Empire Group company, as reported by ‘South China Morning Post’.

The flames, which have injured two people who have had to be taken to a nearby hospital for smoke intoxication, they threaten to spread to the five-star Sheraton hotel and a nearby office block. Some shocking images of the fire show how the flames spread through the floors and they took over the building

Other buildings on a nearby street have also been affected by the flames, although the fire brigades have managed to contain its spread.
