Lebedev won the first four races, but finished second in the fifth, securing a place in the semi-finals.

In the fight for a place in the final, the Latvian speedster did not stay in the top two and was third after the start, but in the continuation he slipped to the fourth position, the Swede Frederik Lindgren and the Pole Bartos Zmarzlik entered the final.

In the second semi-final, the first two places were taken by the British driver Dan Bewley and the Australian Max Frick.

Zmarzlik won the final, Lindgren finished second, while Beuly and Frick took third and fourth place, respectively. Lebedev finished the competition in seventh place overall.

Daniils Kolodinskis also competed in the “Grand Prix” stage, who was third in the second, fourth and fifth races, winning a total of two points, but in the other races he finished fourth and ranked 14th overall.

In the third race of the race, Zmarzlik and Danish Mikel Mikkelsen experienced a serious collision. The Danish speedster suffered an injury and could not continue the competition, so Francis Gusts and Richards Ansviesulis took his place.

Both Gusts and Ansviesulis had the opportunity to start in two races each, but the Latvians finished fourth in those races, remaining without points.

After nine stages, Zmarzlik is the leader of the overall championship standings with 141 points, Lindgren has 124 points, and Beuly has 117 points. Lebedev ranks tenth with 61 points.

Lebedevs starts in the master’s race with a special invitation. He is the first driver of the Latvian speedway, who is included in the basic composition of 15 drivers and can participate in all stages.

This year’s calendar includes 11 “Grand Prix” stages. The next stage will take place on September 14 at the Danish track in Voyens.

As the first reserve of the “Grand Prix” 2023 season, Lebedev started in the last five “Grand Prix” stages of the season, taking 16th place in the overall standings with 30 points.

The stage of the International Motorsport Federation (FIM) World Speedway Championship will take place in Riga for the second year in a row.
