The Israeli team will tonight (Sunday) hold its concluding tactical training and thus end its preparations for tomorrow’s game as part of the home stage of the League of Nations against Iceland. The team that landed last night near midnight local time, arrived in Iceland very cheerful and in an excellent mood after the away win against Albania on Friday.
In the Israeli camp, there is talk of a very good atmosphere, with the key word today among the players and the professional team being continuity. The Israeli team believes that it is possible to win tomorrow and thus establish itself at the head of the house ahead of the last game against Albania at home in the closing round.
With the exception of the yellowed Eden Kartzev, full staff will be at the disposal of coach Alon Hazan. Left-back Doron Leidner, who finished the game with cramps in his leg, is fit to play and is expected to continue to start in the lineup. Ramzi Spori, who came in very well as a substitute in Albania, is strong in the squad’s picture, but Dan Glazer may also open at the back link in place of Kartzev.
Dor Peretz and Mahmoud Jaber, who improved greatly in the second half in Albania, will continue to receive credit from the coach.
