The Department of Sport has published new guidelines for the organization of competitions and sporting events open to the public, following the new decrees which, following the recommendations of the CTS, bring the maximum capacity of outdoor stadiums to 75%. Sanctions are also foreseen in case of violation, which for relapses can lead up to the closure of the plants from one to ten days. “With regard to the capacities – the Department underlines – the decree provides that, in the white area, the capacity allowed for public access to competitions and sporting events organized outdoors cannot exceed 75 percent of the maximum capacity , while for competitions and sporting events indoors, the capacity allowed for public access cannot exceed 60 percent of the maximum capacity allowed “.
But in the yellow zone, “the permitted capacity cannot exceed 50 per cent for competitions and outdoor events, and 35 per cent for those indoors. In the white and yellow zone, in relation to the progress of the situation epidemiological and the characteristics of the sites and events, a different maximum percentage of capacity allowed can be established, in compliance with the principles established by the Technical-Scientific Committee, with suitable guidelines to prevent or reduce the risk of contagion, adopted by the Undersecretary of State with power of attorney in matters of sport “.
“Without prejudice to the application of any sanctions provided for by the sports regulations – concludes the department -, after a violation of the provisions relating to the permitted capacity and the possession of one of the COVID-19 green certifications, starting from the second violation, committed on a different day, the ancillary administrative sanction of closure from one to ten days “.
