In Russia, during non-working days from October 30 to November 7, all matches of professional leagues will be held, in particular in the RPL and KHL, as well as other all-Russian and international competitions. This was announced to RIA Novosti by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko. He added that the format of viewers’ admission will differ from region to region.

“Sports competitions will be held on non-working days, but the format of admission for spectators differs from region to region, depending on the current situation with the spread of COVID-19. The organizers of sporting events – be it a club, a league or a federation – have adhered to special regulations for several seasons. The organizers receive approval from Rospotrebnadzor and fulfill all the necessary requirements, ”said Mr. Chernyshenko.

Dmitry Chernyshenko explained that the restrictions will relate to “spectator occupancy, adherence to social distance, the mandatory use of personal protective equipment”, and some arenas will only be admitted by QR codes. Russia will also host international competitions, where “the requirements of not only federal authorities, but also the regulations of international federations will be fulfilled.”

“All foreign and Russian participants undergo regular testing, athletes enter data on their whereabouts, their stay is limited to the sports facility and place of residence. The staff must have a certificate or take daily PCR tests, spectators are also allowed if they have QR codes about vaccinations or past illness. But in general, our recommendation is to get vaccinated, stay at home if possible and take care of your health and your loved ones, ”he added.

Due to the increase in the incidence, President Vladimir Putin announced non-working days from October 30 to November 7 throughout the country. Some regions, including Moscow, are introducing non-working days from October 28. In some regions, they do not plan to declare a weekend at all, Kommersant found out. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova said that the situation with the coronavirus over the past week has become more complicated in 14 regions of the Russian Federation. Rospotrebnadzor expects a decrease in the incidence by the end of the year.
