Huila received the representatives of the sports delegations from all over the country that will participate in the Intercollegiate Games.
This contest, considered one of the most important in the collegiate field, It will take place in the city of Rivera from today until April 14.
Since early yesterday, the delegations from the departments of Caquetá, Tolima, Cundinamarca and Putumayo arrived in the capital of Huila, being received with a warm welcome by the local authorities and organizers of the event.
Felipe Victoria Barragán, director of Inderhuila, highlighted the relevance of this sporting event for the department, emphasizing that close to 1,200 young athletes will meet in Rivera to compete in various disciplines. Furthermore, he highlighted that these games not only promote sports and recreation, but also cultural exchange and regional positioning.

LThe programming of the Intercollegiate Games will extend from April 4 to 14, with activities scheduled in different sports venues in the city of Rivera. The active participation of all Huila residents is expected in this sports festival, which seeks to highlight the talent and dedication of the region’s young athletes.
The competition, which will begin today, Friday, April 5, will feature the participation of students from educational institutions throughout the region, divided into the cpre-youth and youth categories, and competing in disciplines such as soccer, indoor soccer, volleyball and basketball.
The official opening of the sports event will take place next Saturday at the Rivera Municipal Coliseumin a formal event that will be attended by local and departmental personalities and representatives of the National Government through the Ministry of Sports.
