B.N. Palayam: A sports festival was held at the Ramakrishna Engineering College campus in Vattamalai Palayam near Thudialur. On behalf of the Ramakrishna Pharmacy College in Coimbatore, students from the Pharmacy College participated in the sports festival held here. 1,500m., 800m., 400m., 200m., running race, discus throw and long jump competitions were held. Joel Prince, Dilli Babu and Gavin Kumar bagged the first three positions in the men’s 1,500m event. Kausika, Sribhagya Yajini and Sharmila in women’s 800m, Arulkani, Mukesh and Ruban in men’s 200m, Atshaya, Aksharathi and Shivaranjani in women’s 400m, Gavaskar, Tobit Salma and Bhargav in men’s 400m. Keerthana, Sharmila and Kausika also won the women’s competition. The arrangements for the competition were made by the Department of Physical Education, Ramakrishna Engineering College, Vattamalaipalayam.
