In Kaluga, on Saturday, August 14, the day of the sportsman was celebrated. Olympic exercises took place on the helipad near the Yachensky reservoir.
The head of the city government of Kaluga Yuri Moiseev, City Mayor Dmitry Denisov, deputy of the City Duma Roman Kopteev, heads of departments of the City Administration, coaches and pupils of sports schools, as well as residents of the city took part in the sports event.
The instructors of the fitness club “ZETTA-SPORT” demonstrated to the participants the complexes of physical exercises: combinations for balance and stretching of large muscle groups, a combination of simple combinations and elements from functional training, aerobics, tai-bo and much more.
“Mass exercises on the Day of the Athlete has become a good tradition in our city. All Kaluga sports schools take part in the holiday, coaches and pupils conduct master classes, allow young Kaluga residents to decide what kind of sport they want to connect their lives with. Even if not all of our guys will become world or Olympic champions, all of them will become strong, responsible, serious, and will receive good sports training, ”Yuri Moiseev emphasized.
From 10 am to noon, many sports master classes were held on the embankment, chess and checkers tournaments, table tennis games, and the Orange Ball All-Russian Basketball Competition took place.
The guests of the holiday were able to test the TRP norms and watch the performances of the Kaluga rowers.
