Spotify streaming service released An update to the desktop app that redesigned the left sidebar for managing music and podcasts also added more information about the track you’re listening to. The PC app has become more like a web version and a smartphone app.
The “Your Library” feature has appeared on the left sidebar, which gives access to saved songs and podcasts. It can be collapsed or expanded at the user’s request. When expanded, it will also show additional information about the track being played, such as when it was last played.
The right column “Now playing” now has a biographical information about the artist, as well as the opportunity to purchase his goods or find out the dates of the concerts. There you can also find out what the user’s friends are listening to now. Previously Bloomberg reported that Spotify plans to launch a more expensive subscription with higher quality music – lossless Hi-Fi.
In March, Spotify updated its interface to focus on video content, with the app stream now including vertical videos, podcast videos, and pop-up images that invite you to listen to new playlists. The company also changed the look of the icon that added a song or album to the user’s media library: now, instead of a “heart”, users will click on the “plus” icon.
