The Chevrolet Bolt will gain a companion in the product portfolio of General Motors in Brazil, this being the Bolt EUV, the crossover version of the electric compact made in the USA.
Already seen on the streets, now the crossover was spotted in a parking lot, with only the Chevrolet logos and vehicle identification covered, released by the channels @gessnermotors and @mentirasautomotivas.
The Bolt EUV shares the same structure with the Bolt, including the 203 horsepower and 37 kgfm electric motor, as well as 66 kWh lithium batteries.
With a length of 4,300 m, width of 1,770 m, height of 1,615 m and wheelbase of 2,675 m, the Bolt EUV has a range of over 400 km.
Also manufactured in Lake Orion, Michigan, the Bolt EUV has a different design than an electric MPV.
The GM compact is an SUV that places the American brand in an important segment, even though the prices for both are close in the American market.
Here, the Bolt costs BRL 329,000, but the Bolt EUV should arrive at a price of around BRL 350,000, reproducing some elements of the electric minivan.
Among them the digital and multimedia cluster with Wi-Fi and 4G connection, as well as Android Auto and CarPlay, 360-degree monitoring, as well as adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert, lane alert, rear traffic alert and charging smartphone inductive.
The Chevrolet Bolt EUV also has the Super Cruise in the US, an item that is not offered outside the US and Canada.
The Bolt EUV is part of a series of launches that GM intends to make in Brazil, involving electric cars.
In addition to the two smaller models, GM will launch the Equino EV here, a mid-size SUV that will be accompanied by a bigger brother, the Blazer EV.
Both will be imported from Mexico, more precisely from Ramos Arizpe, while the Chevrolet Silverado EV pickup, which will come from the USA, will complete the range.
