Investigators came to the conclusion that the infertile couple planned a kidnapping operation for the newborn, who they wanted to declare to be their daughter. Planning began no later than March 2023. To this end, the 44-year-old woman joined a support group for Ukrainian refugees on the Telegram channel, through which in January 2024 she made contact with a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman who needed translation services during childbirth. From the beginning, the woman acted with the intention of stealing the baby later. The decision to kill the mother, as well as her 51-year-old mother, who lived in a refugee shelter, was made in early February 2024.
As part of their crime plan, the pair secretly sedated both women in a restaurant on the evening of March 6, 2024. When the 51-year-old victim became ill and her blood pressure rose, the couple first took her daughter and granddaughter home, pretended to take the grandmother to the hospital, but actually drove her to the Bad Schionborn lake, where the man hit the victim in the head at least four times with an unknown object. The 51-year-old woman died soon after.
The couple then picked up the 27-year-old woman and her daughter, claiming the woman’s mother had suffered a heart attack and was in hospital, and drove them to Hockenheim, where the man hit the still medicated woman at least three times in the head with an unknown object. The victim died instantly from a brain injury. The criminals set fire to the victim’s body and returned home with the baby.
March 7 The body of a 27-year-old woman was found on the banks of the Rhine. March 13 a 43-year-old Russian-born woman and her 44-year-old German husband were detained. An unharmed 5-week-old girl was found with them. The grandmother’s body was found later.
