The other day, employees of the “Zvartnots” department of the anti-smuggling department of the RA State Revenue Committee, implementing the received operational information, subjected the international courier consignment from the Republic of Armenia to Australia to customs control in the customs control zone of the “Cargo” cargo complex of the “Zvartnots” airport of the “Armenia International Airports” PB company. : As a result of the inspection of the shipment, among other products, 2 books made of covers filled with “methamphetamine” drug mass were found, the total weight of which was 1.5 kg.
As a result of the discovery of the said mass, within the framework of the urgent operative-investigative measures taken by the employees of the SRC anti-smuggling department, information was received that the sender of the said parcel is the citizen of the Republic of Iran E.B. The citizen was found and arrested, after which he was transferred to the main department of investigation of economic crimes and smuggling of the RA Investigative Committee.
Regarding the fact, the report on the smuggling incident prepared by the anti-smuggling department of the committee, the objects found as a result of personal search, together with the found drug masses, were provided to the main department of economic crimes and smuggling investigation of the investigative committee, where criminal proceedings were initiated, according to Article 399 of the RA Criminal Code. with the features of the article.
The operative-investigative measures taken by the anti-smuggling department of the RA SRC are continuing in order to find out the scope of the possible persons involved in the above-mentioned illegal drug trafficking.
