The issue that may be related to SRC, we solved it last year, in a conversation with journalists, referring to the complaint of businessmen regarding purchases from Wildberries, SRC President Rustam Badasyan said.
He mentioned that last year the SRC came up with a legislative initiative, according to which the rule of the country of consumption, rather than the rule of the country of residence, applies to e-commerce in the territory of the EAEU. “What does it mean: It means that before this year, Wildberries did not pay VAT when importing goods to Armenian consumers, but starting this year, it does. That is, the impact on competition that could have been in the form of not paying taxes, we have fixed that since last year. Moreover, we have made sure that the company does not have any advantage in any aspect and we have been doing analytical work since the beginning of the year and we had a recovery of 3.2 billion very recently.”
Badasyan added that there are certain mechanisms for determining the customs values of goods. “They present their relevant documents and customs clearance is done based on them.”
