As the government has expressed its misconceptions to the United Nations Human Rights Council, Jaffna today (19) called on all to take part in the people’s struggle to be held in Jaffna. Mayor V. Manivannan asked.
Civil society groups have called for a protest near the Kailasap Pillaiyar temple in Jaffna on Sunday. Manivannan said this while participating in a press conference held at the media center yesterday.

“It is unacceptable for a responsible minister in Sri Lanka to lie to the international community when the country is currently in a recession.
Minister GL Peiris has lied in order to cover up the blatant truth on the issue of missing persons, land, political prisoners and release.
Condemn this and gather for the rights of the Tamil people near the Kailasa Pillaiyar Temple in Jaffna at 10 this morning without any political affiliation. ”
The struggle will be supported by the Center for Social Science Research, the Voice of the Voice, the All Ceylon Federation of Working Communities and the relatives of the disappeared.
