Sri Lanka to be plunged into darkness from next month!

by time news

Former People’s Liberation Front (PLF) MP Sunil Handunnetti has said that Sri Lanka will be plunged into darkness from next month.

He pointed out that despite the promise of a fuel tanker to arrive in Sri Lanka on December 5, there were not enough dollars to pay for it.

The Sappugaskanda refinery was not closed due to repair work. It is closed because of the lack of dollars to pay for crude oil.

With the closure of Sappugaskanda, fuel for the airport will be cut off and SriLankan Airlines will also be suspended.

And by the end of December the coal will be depleted at the Nuwara Eliya Thermal Power Station. He said the people of the country would have to be in the dark from then on.
